Casafranca Rosso - Fendi

From the designer family of “Fendi”, Andrea Formilli Fendi named the wine after his mother, Franca Fendi, with "Casafranca" meaning "Franca's home". The wine combines local grapes with French varietals, representing a marriage of different cultures.

Casafranca Rosso is a red wine from Umbria, Italy that's a blend of 50–70% Montefalco grapes, 20–30% Sangiovese, and 10–20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are sourced from the Le Corgne vineyards in Valfabbricca, Umbria, at an elevation of 300–450 meters above sea level. The grapes are fermented separately for about 20 days at a controlled temperature below 25°C.

The wine has notes of red and black fruit, vanilla, oak, and tobacco. It pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and hearty pasta dishes, but can also be enjoyed on its own.
